Powell returns as chief technology officer; Gingsjo promoted to head project management services.
Mike Powell has been named SEKO Logistics’ chief technology officer.
He previously spent four years with SEKO as vice president of information technology before leaving in 2010 to become co-founder of a cloud-based logistics software company. In 2014, he joined RIM Logistics as vice president of technology solutions.
Powell has oversight and leadership of all matters relating to SEKO’s technology strategy, products, solutions and operations as well as the development of the next generation of the MySEKO platform in coordination with Mike White, the global chief commercial officer.
Foreship has promoted Viktor Gingsjo to the newly created position of head of project management services.
Based in Mariehamn, Finland, Gingsjo will head a team of consultants dedicated to project and technical management for shipowners seeking complex services including installations based on alternatives to fuel oil.
“Over the past two years, there has been a significant rise in demand from our customers for the project management services offered by Foreship,” said Lauri Haavisto, the company’s managing director. “The move to create a new department headed by Viktor reflects the good work he has done to date, but also represents a strategic extension in the services we offer.
