Executive Moves: StreetScooter, SynchroNet, OmniTRAX

Jörg Sommer is named CEO of StreetScooter; Tammy Leurquin is hired as chief technology officer; and Casey Taylor is appointed as vice president of sales.

   Jörg Sommer has been named CEO of Deutsche Post subsidiary StreetScooter effective April 1.
   Previously COO at U.S. electric commercial vehicle manufacturer Chanje, Sommer will be moving from California to Aachen, Germany. 
   Former CEO Achim Kampker will concentrate on developing new e-mobility concepts and technologies as chief innovation officer.
   An early proponent of electric mobility, Sommer (pictured above) has more than 10 years of experience in building businesses in that arena for Renault and VW Group. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles in product marketing and product strategy at Daimler.
   “I am honored to be joining this daring team in Germany as we get ready to expand access to zero-emission transportation,” Somner said.  
   
   Tammy Leurquin has joined SynchroNet as chief technology officer and will oversee the technology strategy, planning and operations for SynchroNet Logistics, SynchroNet Marine and SynchroNet Intermodal Services.
   Leurquin has 14 years of experience in transportation and logistics and more than 20 years of experience in IT. She joins SynchroNet after five years as SVP of IT and operations at MatchBack Systems. She also led program and system development for such companies as Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Schneider National and Rockwell Automation.

   OmniTRAX Inc., a privately held transportation service company and an affiliate of The Broe Group, announced that OmniTRAX Energy Solutions (OES) has hired Casey Taylor as vice president of sales.
   Taylor most recently was vice president of sales for Preferred Sales. He has more than a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry. He will be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing customers and leveraging his industry expertise and network to advance awareness of OES as a fully integrated logistics provider delivering operational efficiencies from mine to wellhead.
