Executive Moves: Suddath Cos. and Mersey Maritime

The Suddath Cos.’s CFO retires, while Mersey Maritime names new CEO.

   The Suddath Cos. of Jacksonville, Fla., said Jim Barnett, its chief financial officer since 2002, will retire in January after 41 years with the company. Kevin Gannon, CFO for the Suddath operating companies, will assume the role for the parent company following Barnett’s transition.

   Chris Shirling-Rooke has been confirmed as the new chief executive officer for Mersey Maritime, following the retirement of his predecessor, Jim Teasdale. Shirling-Rooke joined the U.K.-based firm as commercial director in 2013 and became acting CEO 12 months ago.
