Executive Moves: TECSYS, NAVTOR, Alliance Shippers, DCLI and Dachser

TECSYS hires chief marketing officer; NAVTOR names chief technology officer; Alliance Shippers appoints president and CEO; Direct ChassisLink hires chief strategy officer; and Dachser appoints chief operations officer.

TECSYS hires chief marketing officer; NAVTOR names chief technology officer; Alliance Shippers appoints president and CEO; Direct ChassisLink hires chief strategy officer; and Dachser appoints chief operations officer.

   TECSYS, a supply chain management software company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, has hired Laurie McGrath to serve as its new chief marketing officer. McGrath has over 20 years of executive marketing, branding and communications experience. Before joining TECSYS, McGrath served as chief marketing officer for Intalere (formerly Amerinet). Other key leadership roles McGrath has held include interim CMO and vice president of marketing for global cloud and IT outsourcing provider Savvis, a CenturyLink company; vice president of product marketing for IT firm SourceMark International; and vice president of marketing for the Marshall Group, a financial services provider. She was also previously director of marketing for HighJump Software.

   Egersund, Norway-based e-navigation technology and services firm NAVTOR has named Anders Holme chief technology officer. Holme is a veteran of many companies, including IBM, NOV, Aker Solutions and Lyse.

   Alliance Shippers, Inc., a global logistics services provider based out of Englewood Cliffs, N.J., has appointed Jonathan Lefcourt to serve as president and chief executive officer. Lefcourt has served as vice president of information technology for the past 25 years.

   Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (DCLI), a Charlotte, N.C.-based chassis leasing company, has hired David Arsenault to serve as chief strategy officer. Before joining DCLI, Arsenault most recently served as president and CEO of Hyundai Merchant Marine America. During his 12-years with Hyundai, Arsenault was also responsible for all commercial sales in the Pacific Southwest and the Gulf Region of the U.S. Early in his career, he spent over a decade with Charlotte, N.C.-based Sea-Land Service, serving in operations, sales and corporate marketing roles, along with country manager and general manager positions in Thailand and Taiwan.

   Kempten, Germany-based global logistics provider Dachser has appointed Jochen Müller to serve as chief operations officer for the company’s Air & Sea Logistics business field, succeeding Thomas Reuter.
   Müller was hired by Dachser in October 2016 to prepare for the position of COO. In 2011, he had joined the board of Schenker Deutschland, where he was responsible for the Central Europe airfreight region, air and sea sales, and logistics for global relocations, trade fairs and sports events. Before that, he was the CEO of Schenker’s British subsidiary, with responsibilities for land, sea and airfreight, as well as the trade fair business.
   Reuter, who joined Dachser in 1978 and became a part of the executive board in 2006, will continue serving Dachser in an advisory capacity, but will turn his attention to matters outside of Dachser’s daily operations. Reuter will also retain his seat on the board of “The WACO System,” and will represent Dachser’s interests in the Dachser joint ventures Jet-Sped GmbH and NNR + Dachser GmbH.
