Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg hires leading export control and economic sanctions attorney, while Greenbrier Leasing Corp’s president announces retirement.
Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg (ST&R) has hired Steven Brotherton, a respected authority on export controls and economic sanctions, to be the firm’s Export Controls and Sanctions Practice leader. He will manage the firm’s export practice from ST&R’s San Francisco office. Brotherton joins ST&R from AmLaw 100 immigration firm Fragomen Worldwide, where he managed that firm’s Export Control Practice Group over the past 15 years. Fragomen and ST&R have established a relationship to collaborate on export control matters going forward.
The Greenbrier Cos. said James T. Sharp, executive vice president and president of Greenbrier Leasing Corp., will retire at the end of December. Sharp’s duties will be assumed by Mark J. Rittenbaum, executive vice president for commercial and leasing.
