Bertrand Schmoll is elected to board and Dean Milcos is promoted to CFO.
Bertrand Schmoll (pictured above), chairman of ECS Group, has been elected to the board of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).
ECS Group is the first general sales and service agent to be represented on the TIACA board. Schmoll joined the company in 2000.
“TIACA is the only organization representing all sectors of the supply chain and it is important that all voices are heard on the board,” said Sebastiaan Scholte, TIACA chairman and CEO of Jan de Rijk Logistics.
Schmoll said, “An organization such as TIACA is the glue that holds us all together and allows us to move forward together despite our sometimes divergent interests.”
He said he shares the desire with fellow board members “to bring efficiency, modernization and unity to the industry.”
ORBCOMM Inc., a global provider of machine-to-machine and Internet of Things solutions, has promoted Constantine “Dean” Milcos to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
The promotion follows the resignation of former CFO Mike Ford.
“Mr. Ford’s resignation is not based on any disagreement with the company’s accounting principles, practices or financial statement disclosures,” ORBCOMM said in the announcement.
Milcos joined ORBCOMM in 2013 and had served as senior vice president, chief accounting officer and interim CFO. He previously served in various accounting roles at Medco Health Solutions.
ORBCOMM Chief Executive Officer Marc Eisenberg said he was “confident Dean’s strong finance and accounting background, seasoned leadership and thorough knowledge of ORBCOMM’s business will enable the company to make significant improvements in revenue, margin and profitability in 2019 and beyond.”
