Executive Moves: Union Pacific and Suttons Group

Union Pacific appoints three senior executives, while Suttons Group names managing director of international operations.

Union Pacific has appointed Eric Butler executive vice president and chief administrative officer, and Beth Whited executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Butler succeeds Diane Duren, who will retire in February 2017 after 32 years with the railroad. Whited moved into Butler’s former position after leading the railroad’s chemical business. Union Pacific named Kari Kirchhoefer vice president and general manager of chemicals, succeeding Whited. All the appointments are effective Dec. 1.
Meanwhile, the railroad announced that Deborah Chase Hopkins has been elected to its board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Hopkins is the founder and chief executive officer of Citi Ventures and Citi’s chief innovation officer.

U.K.-based logistics services provider Suttons Group has named Barry McNally managing director of Suttons International Ltd., which has operations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and a heavy client focus on the chemical and petrochemical sectors. Before that, McNally was director of planning and projects for Stolt Tankers.
