Executive Moves: Unishippers, TIA and Wabash National

Unishippers Global Logistics names chief executive officer, while the Transportation Intermediaries Association appoints chief of staff and Wabash National picks president.

   Unishippers Global Logistics has promoted its president, Kevin Lathrop, to chief executive officer. Former CEO Dan Lockwood will become the third-party logistics provider’s executive chairman. Lockwood became Unishippers’ chief product officer in 2002 and has served as president and then CEO for the past 10 years. Lathrop became president in January 2011, and prior to that, he served as chief technology officer from 1999-2011.

   Jeff Mason has been appointed chief of staff for the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA). He will oversee the association’s strategic growth initiatives and program management in support of CEO Robert Voltmann and the board of directors. Mason joins TIA from his recent role as executive vice president at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) and publisher of Transport Topics.

   Wabash National Corp., a manufacturer of semi and liquid transport trailers, has appointed Brent Yeagy president and chief operating officer, effective Oct. 1. Yeagy joined Wabash in 2003 after a career in the Navy. He was appointed senior vice president and group president of the commercial trailer products group in June 2013.
