Executive Moves: UPS and Diaz Trade Law

UPS appoints new general counsel, while customs and trade lawyer starts new firm in Miami.

   UPS has named Norman M. Brothers Jr. senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He joined UPS in 2000 and most recently served as vice president and deputy general counsel. Before that he was a military prosecutor in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and practiced at the international law firm King & Spalding. In addition, Teri McClure, formerly chief legal officer, will become chief human resources officer at UPS.

   Jennifer Diaz, former head of the customs and international trade practice group in the Miami office of law firm Becker & Poliakoff, has opened the new law firm Diaz Trade Law, specializing in customs and international trade services. The firm is located in Miami.
