Before joining Cargo 2000, he worked for Descartes Systems Group in London, where he led various systems integration projects for the company’s GF-X electronic cargo-booking portal for freight forwarders and carriers.

The American Waterways Operators, the national trade association for the tugboat, towboat and barge industry, has promoted Jennifer Carpenter to chief operating officer. She was previously the association’s executive vice president.
