uShip hires new chief executive officer, while DHL Supply Chain names CEO of its regional Singapore division.
Online shipping marketplace and freight automation software provider uShip has hired Mike Williams as chief executive officer and a board member. Williams joins the company from Accruent, where he most recently served as general manager of corporate real estate.
In addition, uShip has elected Jim Martell executive chairman of the company’s board. Martell has served interim CEO since Dec. 1, 2016, and has held management positions at FedEx, UPS and UTi Worldwide.
DHL Supply Chain has named Jerome Gillet CEO of the company’s new Singapore regional cluster, which includes Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Gillet, who will continue to report directly to Terry Ryan, CEO of DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific, will oversee country-level managing directors Jason Goh (Singapore), Mike Davies (Malaysia), and Suzie Mitchell (Philippines).
