Executive Moves: Virgin Atlantic Cargo, CP, STTAS and Air Partner

Virgin Atlantic Cargo appoints director of commercial and business development, and director of operations; Canadian Pacific board member resigns; STTAS names vice president of European operations; and Air Partner appoints freight trading manager.

Virgin Atlantic Cargo appoints director of commercial and business development, and director of operations; a Canadian Pacific board member resigns; STTAS names vice president of European operations; and Air Partner appoints freight trading manager.

   Virgin Atlantic Cargo, the cargo division of United Kingdom-based airline Virgin Atlantic, has appointed Paul Fallon to serve as director of commercial and business development, and Tania Wilson to serve as director of operations.
   Fallon began his career in Virgin’s commercial team in 2003. He later spent more than five years as head of business development before taking on the role as director of cargo operations and business development in August 2015.
   Wilson, who will take up her new post in January 2018, currently serves as head of safety at Virgin Atlantic. She joined Virgin Atlantic from Airbus UK in 2001 as a development engineer and has been serving in her existing role since 2013.

   Class I railway Canadian Pacific (CP) announced that William Fatt has resigned from the board of directors of Canadian Pacific Railway Co. and Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. for health reasons. Fatt’s resignation took effect at the close of business on Nov. 9. He joined the board in September 2016, and has acted as the chair of the finance committee and as a member of the audit committee of CP during his tenure.

   Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services (STTAS), a global trade solutions provider, has promoted Jacek Kapica to the position of vice president of European operations, effective Nov. 1. Kapica, a customs compliance and tax administration professional, is a former director general of Poland’s Customs Service.

   Global aviation services group Air Partner has appointed Robert Jubb to serve as freight trading manager. Jubb has more than 13 years of experience in the charter brokerage, airline and time-critical logistics industries. He previously served as commercial director at AirX Charter, and also spent eight years at another competitor from 2008 until 2016 in various roles, including commercial manager.
