Werner Enterprises, Inc. appoints board of directors member; time:matters Holding GmbH names new managing director, strategy & sales; and SIMWAVE hires manager for navigation.
Werner Enterprises, Inc., an Omaha, Neb.-based truckload carrier and logistics services provider, appointed Michael Gallagher to its board of directors last Tuesday.
Duane Sather, who was a director since 2006, retired from the board.
Gallagher is chairman emeritus of law firm Gallagher & Kennedy in Phoenix, and has held the position since 2001. He served as president of Gallagher & Kennedy from 1978 through 2000.
time:matters Holding GmbH named Alexander Kohnen its new managing director, strategy & sales, effective Nov. 15, succeeding Franz-Joseph Miller, who left the company on July 1. time:matters is a same-day delivery company that German cargo airline Lufthansa Cargo took full ownership of in August 2016. Kohnen has held various management positions at Lufthansa Cargo since October 2000, most recently as senior director, industry development & product management.
Netherlands-based SIMWAVE, a maritime simulation training provider, has hired Steve Window as manager for navigation at its maritime simulation center in Rotterdam. Window previously spent eight years at Warsash Maritime Academy, where he was head of bridge simulation. He served 21 years as an officer in the Royal Navy in various roles, and still serves at sea as a reserve officer.
