XPO Logistics appoints new member to its board of directors; the GAC Group names group general manager-technology business management, and technology business manager-management solutions; and BDP International hires finance director for Latin America.
XPO Logistics, a Greenwich, Conn.-based third-party logistics provider, appointed AnnaMaria DeSalva to its board of directors. DeSalva, who has joined the board as an independent director of the company, is global chief communications officer for DuPont. Before joining DuPont in 2014, DeSalva served as head of corporate affairs for biopharmaceutical innovation at Pfizer. She has also previously served as an advisor to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and led the global healthcare practice of Hill & Knowlton. In addition, at Bristol-Myers Squibb, she led global public affairs for the oncology business, and served as the director of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation.
The GAC Group, a Dubai-based integrated shipping, logistics and marine services provider, has named Facundo Mendoza, previously senior IT manager, as group general manager-technology business management.
In addition, GAC has hired Helena Lemon as technology business manager-management information. Lemon has a background as an international management consultant with a focus on business and IT improvement in strategy and operations.
BDP International, a logistics and transportation solutions company headquartered in Philadelphia, has hired Alberto Grajales as finance director for Latin America. Grajales will work out of Miami. Prior to joining BDP, Grajales served as director of business transportation products-Latin America for Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods). He has also served in various leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCooper, Verizon and Deutsche Post DHL.
