EXEL, CHENGTONG SET UP LOGISTICS VENTURE IN SHANGHAI
U.K.-based logistics firm Exel and China’s local operator Chengtong Distribution Group have set up a supply chain services company in Shanghai.
Exel said that the venture will have the largest supply chain network in China.
Over the last 12 months, Exel has gained experience in China’s logistics market by operating supply chain consultancy services from its Hong Kong offices.
The Chengtong group, previously part of China’s Ministry of Internal Trade, is made up of 18 subsidiary companies throughout China focusing primarily on major provincial centers. The group has more than two million square meters of warehousing facilities from which both national and provincial transport fleets operate.
