EXEL NAMES HERBERTSON DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY
Exel, a U.K.-based provider of logistics services, has appointed Clifford Herbertson director of group strategy.
Prior to joining Exel, Herbertson was a partner with Monitor Group and The Kalchas Group, two strategy-consulting firms. At Exel he will report to Graham Fish, group commercial director.
Exel also said it has been named by Shell International Trading and Shipping Co. to manage the relocation of Shell’s ships’ spares from a warehouse on East London to new facilities in Europe and Asia.
Shell has contracted with Exel for six years to handle inventory and delivery of ships’ spares to a worldwide fleet of more than 50 vessels. Exel will continue to manage warehousing and distribution via new facilities in France and Singapore, as well as Shell’s ship postal operation.
