Exel rebrands as DHL Supply Chain

The wholly owned North American contract logistics subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group will transition to the DHL Supply Chain name to standardize company branding across all global markets.

Exel, the wholly owned North American contract logistics subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group, is rebranding itself as DHL Supply Chain, according to a statement from the company.
The 3PL, which has its corporate headquarters in Westerville, Ohio, said the primary reason for the name change is to standardize company branding across all global markets.
The company’s structure, operations and employees will remain intact. The company also plans to roll out a new DHL website later in 2016.
“The logistics industry, our business, and our customers are more global than ever,” it said. “Exel is the North American leader in third-party logistics, but now the focus has expanded to enable a global customer experience. This is why Exel has decided to transition to the DHL Supply Chain name beginning in 2016.
“Transitioning to DHL Supply Chain is part of our evolution to better serve our customers with a simplified and seamless logistics solution. We’re still the same company with the same people — now with a name that allows us to operate as a consistent brand in all customer markets.”
Now DHL Supply Chain, the company provides third party logistics services to a wide range of industries including automotive, consumer, retail, engineering and manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, technology, energy and chemicals.
