ExxonMobil to invest $1B in Antwerp port

ExxonMobil said it will invest more than $1 billion in its refinery in the port of Antwerp.
The existing ExxonMobil refinery in Antwerp is one of the company’s best in terms of cost and energy efficiency, according to the Antwerp Port Authority. The new refinery will convert heavy, high-sulphur oil into cleaner products and transport fuel such as diesel and fuel oil for shipping.
This is not the first time ExxonMobil has expanded its facilities in Antwerp. During the past decade the company has invested more than $2 billion in Antwerp to meet European demand for fuels and other oil products, the port authority said.
