FDA CONTINUES TO STREAMLINE SENIOR MANAGEMENT

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Food and Drug Administration says it’s continuing efforts to make its commissioner’s office and several others more efficient.

Reorganization of the agency’s senior management began last summer. The FDA has eliminated job titles and reshuffled management from the abolished Office of Operations.

The agency has also removed references to its former Offices of Policy and External Affairs, which has been split into the Office of Policy, Planning and Legislation and the Office of International and Constituent Relations. Similar changes were made at its Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and Office of the Ombudsman.
