FEDEX CORP. NAMES CARTER CIO
FedEx Corp. has named Robert B. Carter executive vice president and chief information officer, succeeding Dennis Jones, who has retired.
Carter was named chief technology officer of FedEx in 1998 after five years as vice president of information and telecommunications at FedEx Express.
As CIO, he will direct continued development of the company's information-technology network and oversee the company's domestic IT centers in Memphis; Dallas; Los Angeles; Pittsburgh; Akron Ohio; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Orlando, Fla.
