FedEx Express expands International Priority Freight service
FedEx Corp. said Monday that its FedEx Express unit is rolling its FedEx International Priority Freight service to 64 new markets in Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean, as well as enhancing its U.S. domestic FedEx Express Freight service.
FedEx International Priority Freight now operates in more than 130 countries, with deliveries made within one to three business days.
FedEx Express Freight is a time-definite, premium air freight service for domestic and international palletized shipments weighing more than 150 pounds. U.S. shipments will now carry a time-definite, door-to-door delivery commitment in most rural areas. With this change, FedEx said that over 90 percent of U.S. ZIP codes are covered by FedEx Express with door-to-door freight service backed by a money-back guarantee.
In addition, customers will now be able to ship using FedEx 1Day Freight and FedEx International Priority Freight service between Oahu, Hawaii and the mainland U.S. and more than 130 countries and territories worldwide.
“With these enhancements to FedEx International Priority Freight, FedEx continues to open the world to our customers — from small business owners to multinational companies,” said Rajesh Subramaniam, senior vice president of international marketing for FedEx Express.
