FESCO SHELVES PLAN TO ENTER ATLANTIC TRADE

Far Eastern Shipping Co., the Russian shipping line, has shelved plans to enter the transatlantic as part of a slot sharing agreement with BOLT Canada, the Montreal/Northern Europe gateway operator.

“Far Eastern Shipping Co. (Vladivostok) has decided not to pursue this any further,” a FESCO Lines North America executive told American Shipper.

FESCO will continue to concentrate on its services connecting North America, Asia and the Pacific Rim, the company said.
