Fire at British Columbia terminal

Squamish dock was used to handle forest products, steel.

A fire that broke out Thursday night at Squamish Terminals in British Columbia has been largely contained, but local officials there are asking residents to avoid the area around the fire and shelter in place.
Squamish is located about an hour’s drive north of Vancouver at the north-end of Howe Sound.
Residents described the smoke from the fire as dark and smelly.
Officials are seeking to have the air tested, according to the national news service, The Canadian Press.
A ship that was at the terminal did not catch fire and was moved, CBC reported.
The dock is used to handle forest products and steel.
   There were no injuries reported.
