First half cargo volumes surge at Rickenbacker

Columbus, Ohio’s Rickenbacker International Airport handled about 102 million pounds of cargo in the first half of 2015, a 40 percent increase over the same period last year.

   In June alone, the airport processed 14.9 million pounds of cargo.
   Cargolux, Cathay Pacific and Emirates SkyCargo contributed to “triple-digit increases” in freight, while UPS and FedEx remained strong domestic air cargo carriers for the airport, the Columbus Regional Airport Authority said.
