FMC reviews 11 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 11 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 11 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Absolute Worldwide Logistics, Baltimore (John F. Hart, president); and Iramat Shipping and Logistics, West Warwick, R.I. (Hakeem B. Alabi, managing member).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Gezairi Transport Limited Liability, Shrewsbury, N.J. (Maher Doughan, chairman); Logicarrier Corp., Miami (Luis A. Colmenares, president); R.T. Shipping, Chino, Calif. (Rufei “Rufus” Tang, president); and SR & Associates, Sugar Land, Texas (John Edel, member).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from DHK Express, La Canada Flintridge, Calif. (Stephen L. Han, president); and Wiz Freight Corp., Miami (Renato F. Ferretti, president).
   In addition, the agency received applications for changes to qualifying individuals from GKN Freight Services, Van Wert, Ohio (Robert E. Crews, assistant secretary); and Morgan Systems, Atlanta (Noah C. Rader, vice president); and for a name change to Frontier North America from DSX-Port, Itasca, Ill. (Agata R. Culic, vice president).

Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) — both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs — are also available on the FMC website.
