FMC reviews 11 OTI license applications

Individuals knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the Office of Transportation Intermediaries.

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 11 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Backhaul Direct, Indianapolis (Carey R. Bain, ocean transportation intermediary officer); Bondex Logistics Seattle Corp., Seatac, Wash. (Hsiang Lu “Shan” Kung, chief operating officer); and Crystal Global Services, Houston (Michael Obi, president).
   The agency also received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Ocean Logistics US, Medley, Fla. (Carlos L. Badilla, president), and Seaway Logistics Solutions, North Brunswick, N.J. (Sunil K. Dadlani, member).
   In addition, the FMC received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Four Seasons Logistics Corp., Lincroft, N.J. (Jun Wan, vice president); PNPLine, North Bergen, N.J. (Yongsu Han, chief operating officer); Transmark Logistics, Kent, Wash. (Leroy F. Berven, vice president); and Waterview Logistics, Boynton Beach, Fla. (Joshua M. Liebman, managing member); for a name change to Sobel Network International Co. from Network Brokers International, Rockville Centre, N.Y. (Brian Wills, president); and for the removal of trade name Manila Forwarders from Manila Freight Corp., Santa Clarita, Calif. (Neil F. Sanchez, president). 
   Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington, D.C. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) — both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs — also are available on the FMC website.
