FMC reviews 12 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 12 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received 12 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Caesar Shipping & Logistics (USA) Co. Ltd., Rowland Heights, Calif. (Hengyl “Kelvin” Gu, vice president); Calausan Trading & Logistic Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico (Gladys E. Maldonado, member); and Pacific Freight Corp., Fullerton, Calif. (Young H. Kim, president).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Above & Beyond Import Export, Orlando, Fla. (Ahmad A. Khatib, member); and Synergy Link Corp., Los Angeles (Adison Umrarong, president).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from African Coast Shipping Co., Silver Spring, Md. (Kwadwo Nornoo, president); Franchesca Express, Hazelton, Pa. (Francisco A. Rodriguez, president); Nobuyuki Kase, San Pedro, Calif. (Nobuyuki Kase, sole proprietor); and Panacea Shipping Co., La Porte, Texas (Ziad Aly, president).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for a change to a qualifying individual from Farnell Freight Forwarders, Jacksonville, Fla. (Kenneth M. Keefe III, vice president); and for name changes to Eusu Logistics from Hanjin Logistics, Ridgefield Park, N.J. (June S. Hong, treasurer) and BNSF Logistics Ocean Line from Royal Cargo Line, Flower Mound, Texas (Robert Ryan, director of import and customs).
