FMC reviews 16 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 16 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.

   The FMC received a non-vessel-operating common carrier license application from Allied Cargo Services, Hayward, Calif. (Conrad E. Lim, president).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from B&O Express, Baldwin Park, Calif. (Billy Lai, chief executive officer); Bijoal Shipping Limited Liability Co., Newark, N.J. (Mark Meltser, operating manager); and T. Trucking, South Richmond Hill, N.Y. (Hansee Thackroodeen, president).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Global Transhipping, Miami, Fla. (Gus Mojica, president); Majestic Xpress, Brooklyn, N.Y. (Elson L. Walker, manager); Signature Trading Services, Charlotte, N.C. (Norwood F. Ezzell, president); and World Wide Cargoes, Leesburg, Va. (Stephen P. Druhot, president).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individual from Clover Internacional, Houston, Texas (Juan L. Castillo, officer); CR&J Logistics, Lake Worth, Fla. (Ronald Penn, chief executive officer); J-Mar Overseas Transport, Houston, Texas (Rosendo H. Guerra, vice president); and UniTrans International, Vienna, Va. (Fadi Nahas, president); for name changes from LF Logistics (USA), Jamaica, N.Y. (Scott R. Ornstein, vice president) to LF Logistics USA; and World Trade Shipping & Logistics, Miami, Fla. (Mario R. Palacios, president) to M.V.P. International; and the addition of trade names Sunset International Shipping from Reece Ventures, Tarzana, Calif. (Alexander Ravich, president); and Loomis International (US) from Via Mat International (USA), Inwood, N.Y. (Joachim Nuebling, president).
