FMC REVIEWS 16 OTI LICENSE APPLICATIONS, REVOKES 29 LICENSES

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 16 ocean transportation intermediary license applications for review.

   The companies requesting non-vessel-operating common carrier licenses are Speedy International, San Francisco, Michael Chan, manager; Pudong Prime International Logistics, City of Industry, Calif., Jian Wang, director/president; UIA Worldwide Logistics, San Marino, Calif., Jack Ling, president; Topocean Consolidation Service (Seattle), Tulwila, Wash., Vic Cheung, president; Seoil Agency Co. U.S.A., Seattle Myeongjong Kim, president; California Freight System, Compton, Calif., Jong Wook Lim, president; Formerica Consolidation Service, Jamaica, N.Y., Peter C. Chiu, president; Form Logistics, Valley Stream, N.Y., Tung Shen Wang, president; and Dimex Consulting, Inglewood, Calif., Diem T. Nguyen, owner.

   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Angel’s Maritime Services, Houston, John Ola Coker, president; United Nation Transportation, El Monte, Calif., Jeff Mangkareth Insixiengmay, president; ACS Cargo Systems, Elk Grove Village, Ill., Steven J. Ellis, director; and Interport Services Corp., Miami, Alberto J. Marino, president.

   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Logical Solution Services, Howell, N.J., Victor Cruz, president; Global Logistics Freight, Valley Stream, N.Y., Maria DeFillippis, president; and Fox Freight Forwarders, Miami, Maria S. Hugues, president.

   The FMC revoked 27 OTI licenses for failure to maintain valid bonds. These firms are A-P-A World Transport Corp. of Elizabeth, N.J.; Ace Shipping Corp. of Des Plaines, Ill.; Alden International, Traverse City, Mich.; Argosy Transport in Westminster, Calif.; BNX Shipping in Rancho Dominguez, Calif.; C.F.L. Freight Service of Monterey Park, Calif.; Classic Cargo International in Cudahy, Wis.; Daniel H. Cheung in San Francisco; Expedited Transportation Services of Stone Mountain, Ga.; FEI Holdings of Fairfield, Calif.; Horizon Forwarders of Staten Island, N.Y.; Intermar Steamship Corp. in Armonk, N.Y.; Intermodal Logistics Systems of Gardena, Calif.; International Forwarders at Lake Worth, Fla.; James A. Green Jr. & Co. of Kansas City, Kan.; Meridian Containers (USA) in Easthampton, N.J.; Pioneer International Forwarding Co. of San Francisco; Seaspeed Transport in Paramount, Calif.; Southern Winds International of Union City, Calif.; Sunmar Shipping in Seattle; Tera Trading Group in Miami; Total Cargo International of Miami; Total Cargo of Polar Bear Container Line in Cloverdale Calif; United Shipping Services of Alhambra, Calif.; Vital International Freight Services of Los Angeles; Worldwide International in Columbus, Ohio; and Zeal Cargo Corp. of Miami.

   Two OTIs voluntarily surrendered their licenses to the agency. They are Miller & Thompson Forwarding in Milwaukee, Wis.; and Trans-Border Customs Services of Champlain, N.Y.
