FMC reviews 23 OTI license applications

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 23 license applications and changes for review.

   The FMC has received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from AM Worldwide, Houston (Anthony J. Mello, president); A.W.L.I. Group, Miami (Elaine Rosendorf, president); Concept Cargo Freight and Logistics, Miami (Marcos A. Bacan, president); IDS Freight Services USA, Jamaica, N.Y (Elaine Rosendorf, president); Jacob Fleishman Transportation, Miami (Karen Azari, secretary); and Yang Kee Logistics USA, El Segunda, Calif. (Peter Porse, president).

   The agency received NVO-ocean freight forwarder license applications from Chem-Star Global Logistics, Albuquerque, N.M. (Terry L. Strohl, operations manager); Karakorum Services, Miami (Mayela J. Luzardo, president); Science Logistics Corp., Doral, Fla. (Andrea K. Cavalcante, secretary); Top Shipping Systems Corp., Miami (Issac B. Morales, general manager); and Tri-Vi-U.S. Logistics, Valley Stream, N.Y. (Yehudit Gabbay Turgeman, vice president).

   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Aztec Marine Agencies, Beaumont, Texas (Rosemary Asta, president); Disham Logistics, Jamaica, N.Y. (Sadiah Mohammed, member); Foljin International Group, Owings Mills, Md. (Fola Jinadu, president); Global Marine Transportation, New York (Gloria P. Avendano, president); Global Port Ship Lines, Bevington, Iowa (Timothy F. Pontier, president); Jimmy C. Hsueh, San Mateo, Calif. (Jimmy C. Hsueh, sole proprietor); and Ocean Shipping Corp., Miami (Alberto E. Puentes, president).

   In addition, the agency received applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Crowley Logistics, Jacksonville, Fla. (Ronald D. Stalvey, export compliance officer); Universal Freight Forwarders, Tukwila, Wash. (Rosana B. Brown, treasurer); and Vantec World Transport (USA), Torrance, Calif. (Yoshiaki Nagai, FMC license qualifying officer). The FMC received application for business structure change from Manila Forwarders USA Corp., Los Angeles (Manuel O. Paez, president); and license transfer application from Lighthouse Freight International, Houston (Luis Carranza, president).
