The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received nine ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Oriental Cargo Forwarders, National City, Calif. (Alexander Y. Tiu, vice manager); and Shipping International, Oakland, Calif. (Mehdi Bolourchi, president).
The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from American Transit Shipping, Brooklyn, N.Y. (Chukwuma I. Oka, president); Armada Services, Baltimore (Stephen R. Brodie, chief export officer); and Portis Logistics, Miami (Jesus A. Herrera, manager member).
The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from 1-800-Shipping, Deerfield Beach, Fla. (Thomas Jacob, director); and Aprile USA, New York (Satish Arora, assistant secretary).
In addition, the agency received applications for a business structure change to Action Worldwide Cargo Services from Nancy S. Frederick, Houston (Nancy L. Frederick, president); and for a name change from Worldwide Cargo Express, Draper, Utah (Dana M. Ferguson, treasurer) to Worldwide Cargo.
