FRAM SHIPPING IN DEAL WITH ASSOCIATED TRANSPORT
Fram Shipping Group, a Bermuda-based shipowner, has provided investment
funds for Associated Transport Line, a breakbulk carrier operating between Mexico and the
U.S. Gulf and South America.
Associated Transport, based in Houston, said the money will enable
Associated to acquire "a substantial portion" of the vessels that the company
operates.
Associated, which began operation in 1993, has 12 sailings a month.
