Privately held outsourced labor providers Pinnacle Logistics Services and Capstone Logistics have joined forces.
Two companies that provide flex workforces for distribution centers and manufacturing plants have merged, according to a statement from the investment bank that helped put the deal together.
Capstone Logistics, a Peachtree Corners, Ga. company that provides unloading and warehouse labor services to the grocery, food service, retail and automotive industries, has acquired Pinnacle Workforce Logistics, Harris Williams & Co. announced Monday.
Chino Hills, Calif.-based Pinnacle is a workforce supplier that handles 1.4 billion cases and more than 1 million loads per year across more than 90 client sites. Customers include transportation and logistics companies, retailers and grocers.
Capstone was formed in 2011 following the merger of two companies.
Both companies are owned by New York-based investment funds – Pinnacle by Fenway Partners and Capstone by The Jordan Co. Fenway is active in the mid-market logistics arena. Current and past portfolio companies have included Greatwide Logistics, Panther Expedited, Transport Industries L.P., Preferred Freezer Services, Canadian trucking company Fastfrate, Refrigerated Holdings, and the drayage company RoadLink.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
