FREIGHTWISE FORMS ALLIANCE WITH GE CAPITAL
FreightWise, the online intermodal marketplace operator, has formed an alliance with GE Capital Corp. to cross-promote FreightWise's load-matching and fulfillment applications with the GE Trucking Solutions web site.
GE Trucking Solutions will provide rental, financing and service offerings available through Penske Truck Leasing, TIP, GE Capital Commercial Equipment Financing and GE Capital Fleet Services to FreightWise customers. FreightWise will provide an online marketplace for buying and selling transportation services to GE Trucking Solutions customers.
GE announced a strategic investment in FreightWise in August. FreightWise also announced this week a strategic investment partnership with railroad Canadian National.
