FROM2.COM LOGISTICS FIRM HIRES FORMER UPS AND DHL EXECUTIVES
From2.com, the Miami-based e-commerce logistics company, has hired two former senior executives of UPS and DHL to join its management team.
George Gonzalez, formerly with DHL, has been appointed vice president of global logistics and Richard Nuszkowski, previously with UPS, has been named domestic operations manager.
Gonzalez will manage From2.com’s non-U.S. offices and will oversee worldwide operations. Prior to joining From2.com, Gonzalez was vice president of operations and transportation Americas with DHL.
In his position as VP of domestic operations, Nuszkowski will supervise the domestic transportation and fulfillment services departments, and the Miami freight handling facility for From2.com. Additionally, he will manage the four new freight-handling facilities that From2.com plans to open. At UPS, Nuszkowski most recently served as corporate hub/feeder manager.
From2.com provides logistics services to e-commerce merchants through its domestic and international facilities, including warehousing, fulfillment and international door-to-door delivery services. From2.com also created a “Global Delivered Cost Calculator,” a software that works out all freight, insurance, duties, taxes, customs clearance fees and other import charges associated with shipping a product overseas, and gives customers delivery quotes and air and ocean shipping options prior to purchase.
From2.com claims to be the first company to offer these services for e-commerce shoppers and merchants. The logistics company said that courier companies such as Federal Express, UPS and DHL deliver goods internationally, but “lack the infrastructure and technology necessary to obtain, monitor, synthesize and compute the type of information that From2 processes for the benefit of its e-merchant clients and their international customers.”
