The ocean carrier alliance will skip one sailing each on the AX1 and AX2 loops.
Members of the G6 Alliance – ocean carriers Hapag-Lloyd, Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), APL, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) – will skip two sailings on the transatlantic trade.
The Atlantic Express 1 (AX1) will skip the Dec. 30 sailing of the Vancouver Express from Le Havre, while the Atlantic Express 2 (AX2) will omit the Dec. 24 sailing of the Singapore Express from Southampton, according to OOCL.
The AX1 has a rotation of Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Southampton, New York, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah and Le Havre. Ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting shows the loop deploys five vessels with an average capacity of 8,679 TEUs. Hapag-Lloyd operates all of the vessels.
The AX2 has a rotation of Southampton, Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Le Havre, Savannah, Veracruz, Altamira, Houston, New Orleans, Charleston and South Hampton. The service operates with six vessels with an average capacity of 4,822 TEUs, with Hapag-Lloyd supplying all of the vessels.
