G6 Alliance voids 10 additional Asia-Europe sailings

Ocean carrier members of the G6 Alliance announced they will void additional sailings on their Loop 1, Loop 4, Loop 5, Loop 6 and Loop 7 services between Asia and Europe.

   Members of the G6 Alliance  – ocean carriers APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line – announced they will void an additional 10 sailings between Asia and Europe in response to changes in market demand.
   Loop 6 will void sailings in weeks 44, 48 and 52 (westbound ETA Fuzhou Oct. 29, Nov. 26 and Dec. 24). As a result, Kaohsiung will be added as a westbound call and Jebel Ali will be added on the eastbound leg of Loop 7. In addition, the westbound Colombo and Xiamen calls will be added into Loop 4.
   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the loop operates with 11 vessels with an average capacity of 12,838 TEUs. Loop 6 has a rotation of Fuzhou, Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Nansha, Shekou, Hong Kong, Singapore, Colombo, Southampton, Antwerp, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Dubai, Shekou and Fuzhou.
   Loop 7 will void sailings in weeks 45 and 49 (westbound ETA Qingdao Nov. 2 and Nov. 30). Qingdao will be added to Loop 4’s westbound leg during the corresponding week. In addition, during that same timeframe, Gdansk, Gothenburg and Antwerp calls will be covered on the eastbound direction of Loop 5.
   Loop 7, which operates with 12 vessels with an average capacity of 13,518 TEUs, has a rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Gdansk, Gothenburg, Antwerp, Southampton, Singapore, Yantian and Qingdao.
   Loop 4 will void sailings in weeks 46 and 50 (westbound ETA Ningbo Nov. 13 and Dec. 11). The westbound Le Havre call will be covered by Loop 6 during the corresponding week.
   Loop 4, which operates with 11 vessels with an average capacity of 13,517 TEUs, has a rotation of Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Port Said, Le Havre, Southampton, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Port Said, Jeddah, Singapore, Hong Kong and Ningbo.
   Loop 5 will void sailings in weeks 47 and 51 (westbound ETA Kwangyang Nov. 20 and Dec. 18). The westbound calls at Kwangyang and Pusan will be added to Loop 7 during the corresponding week.
   Loop 5, which operates with 11 vessels with an average capacity of 13,021 TEUs, has a rotation of Gwangyang, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Southampton, Singapore and Gwangyang.
   Lastly, Loop 1 will void a sailing in week 53 (westbound ETA Kobe Jan. 2).
   The service operates with 11 vessels with an average capacity of 9,318 TEU. Loop 1 has a rotation of Kobe, Nagoya, Shimizu, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Cai Mep (near Ho Chi Minh), Singapore, Jeddah, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Southampton, Le Havre, Singapore, Hong Kong and Kobe.
