GAC, Ultramar ship agencies cooperate
Gulf Agency Co., the Middle East-based international shipping agent, has signed a partnership agreement with Ultramar Group, a shipping agency company active in South America.
Under the agreement, Ultramar will provide ship agency services in ports in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
For GAC, the move represents the continuation of its policy of global network alliances. GAC provides port coverage in the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, Asia, Africa and several locations in the United States, Europe, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
In the past 12 months, GAC has signed alliances with Adsteam (for Australia, New Zealand and Oceania), Unipros (for the Republic of Korea), Kudrat Maritime (for Malaysia), Rice Unruh Reynolds (for the U.S. East and Gulf coasts) and Wilford & McKay (for Panama).
In the coming year, GAC aims to complete its coverage of the Americas and Japan, followed by Africa and Europe. The company’s hub agency centers oversee the worldwide coordination of ship agency services.
