GEOLOGISTICS OBTAINS CUSTOMS BROKER LICENSE IN RUSSIA
GeoLogistics has obtained a Russian national customs broker license.
The U.S. international forwarder said that the national license is the most comprehensive one in Russia, where most freight forwarders have either regional licenses for one particular Russian region or a zonal license covering one customs point only.
GeoLogistics said that Russia’s State Customs Committee is changing the rules and regulations for customs clearance. The Russian Customs is reducing the number of companies that it interacts with directly and has implemented new reporting requirements and procedures for those who are licensed, it said.
GeoLogistics’ main branches in Russia are located in Moscow and St Petersburg.
