GEORGE LOWMAN, FARRELL LINES CHAIRMAN, CEO, DIES
George Lowman, 82, chairman and chief executive officer of Farrell Lines
Inc., died Saturday.
A 1998 recipient of the United Seamen’s Service Admiral of the Ocean Sea
Award in 1998, Lowman was named chairman of Farrell Lines in 1978, and CEO in 1979. He
graduated with a law degree from Harvard Law school in 1942 and served as a senior partner
of Cummings & Lockwood, a Stamford, Conn., firm.
Lowman is survived by wife Mary Farrell Lowman, a daughter, two sons and 10
grandchildren.
