Georgia Ports Authority welcomes back McCurry
The Georgia Ports Authority, which looks after the ports of Savannah and Brunswick, has appointed James C. McCurry as its general manager of external affairs.
McCurry, formerly the port authority’s manager of legislative affairs from 1997 to 2002, returns after a stint at Brasseler USA, a national supplier of dental and medical instrumentation, where he was a senior product manager and national sales specialist.
“Jamie has an excellent record of building coalitions and contacts within state and federal governments,' said Doug J. Marchand, executive director of the port authority. 'His previous experience with the GPA will serve him well as he moves into his new position.”
