Globe Express Services rebrands
Globe Express Services (GES), a Charlotte, N.C.-based third-party logistics provider specializing in U.S. trade with the Far East, said it has launched a new Web site, http://www.globeexpress.com as part of corporate rebranding effort.
Ziad Korban, chairman and chief executive of the company, said over the past five years the company “has expanded its global footprint and capabilities to become a truly international player. The company’s office network, information systems and most importantly people have matured, enabling us to compete on the global stage, not just in our transpacific roots.” The company’s new logo “reflects the company’s new status as a blue chip global logistics provider.”
The company said it will launch major initiatives in 2008:
' Logistics visibility software, iRADAR, which is now powered by Microsoft’s .NET technology.
' A fortified air freight offering.
' A warehouse management system developed in-house called GROWS (GES Robust Warehouse System).
' A global relocation service.
The company said the rebranding does not imply any ownership or management changes
