GM/DELPHI AWARDS BROKERAGE CONTRACT TO CIRCLE
General Motors and Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. have awarded Circle International a multiyear contract to manage customs clearance of their U.S. imports.
The shipments will arrive in the United States by air and ocean transport from Asia, the Mideast, Europe and Latin America. Circle will manage these shipments from its service centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and New York. Both GM and Delphi import about 32,000 shipments a year into the United States.
The companies choose Circle after reviewing bids from 17 brokers.
