Greatwide Logistics wins LG Electronics contract

   Greatwide Logistics Services said it is expanding its relationship with LG Electronics USA.

   LG Electronics has been a customer of Greatwide since 2006, operating out of the firm’s Fort Worth, Texas, facility.

   The new contract will include additional LG operations at facilities in Portland, Ore.; Romeoville, Ill.; and Orlando, Fla., as well as continued operations at the existing Fort Worth site. The expanded agreement with LG allows a 40 percent increase in personnel and doubles square footage. The new facilities will range from 50,000 to 500,000 square feet. The scope of work will include Greatwide employees performing all warehouse-associated tasks, with the company responsible for receiving, putting away, cycle counting, picking, processing and shipping LG commercial electronics and digital appliances.

   In addition to LG, Greatwide has secured distribution logistics agreements with CHEP, Intermatic, Coca Cola and Walgreens, among other customers.
