Greer takes helm at BNSF Logistics
Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC said last week that Raymond B. Greer has become president of BNSF Logistics on Feb. 15.
Greer was chief executive officer of Dallas-based Greatwide Logistics Services until early 2009, when new private equity investors replaced him with Leo Suggs, the former head of UPS Freight. Greatwide provides dedicated truckload, truck brokerage and warehouse-distribution services.
Prior to Greatwide, Greer was president and CEO of reverse logistics specialist Newgistics Inc. He also has experience as president, chief operating officer and chief information officer at Ryder Logistics, and served in executive positions at FedEx Express.
Eric Wolfe, who has served as BNSF Logistics' vice president and general manager, will report to Greer as vice president and COO.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe is privately held by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Corp. Its primary subsidiary is the BNSF Railway.
