CMA CGM will increase rates from North Europe (North Continent, Scandinavia, Baltic and United Kingdom) to the Far East (China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) on all cargo effective Dec. 1 (onboard date). Rates will increase by $200 per TEU for dry and tank containers and $300 per forty-foot dry and high cube containers.
The French ocean carrier will also increase rates from the Far East and Japan to the West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea and North Africa on all cargo effective Dec. 1 (bill of lading date). Rates will increase by $950 per TEU to the West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea and North Africa; and 850 euros per TEU to Syria.
In addition, CMA CGM will also increase rates from all Asian ports (including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) to West Africa on all cargo effective Dec. 15 (bill of lading date). Rates will increase by $500 per TEU.
