Ocean carrier CMA CGM issued a general rate increase from all Asian ports to all Middle East Gulf ports and cancelled an overweight surcharge on its Asia to Red Sea trade.
CMA CGM will increase rates on all cargo from all Asian ports to all Middle East Gulf ports effective Nov. 15. Rates will increase by $100 per TEU.
In addition, the French carrier cancelled its overweight surcharge Nov. 1 on dry cargo, which was effective from all Asian ports (including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) to Jeddah, Ain Sukhna, Aqaba, Djibouti, Port Sudan and Aden.
