Ocean carriers Maersk Line, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd announced general rate increases.

   Ocean carriers Maersk Line, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd announced general rate increases.
   Maersk Line will increase rates from Far East Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe effective Jan. 18. Rates will increase by $500 per TEU; and $1,000 per forty-foot container (FEU), FEU high cube and 45-foot high cube dry and reefer containers.
   CMA CGM will increase rates from all Asian ports (including Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Ain Sokhna, Egypt; Aqaba, Jordan; Djibouti; Port Sudan, Sudan; and Aden, Yemen on all cargo effective Jan. 22. Rates will increase by $150 per TEU.
   Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East to the United States and Canada effective Feb. 15. Rates will increase by $320 per TEU; and $400 per FEU, FEU high cube and FEU reefer container.
