Haka named Florida East Coast Railway COO
Florida East Coast Railway has appointed Joel Haka to executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Feb. 21.
Haka brings more than 30 years of experience in maritime operations to the railway, which operates between the Florida ports of Jacksonville, Palm Beach, Everglades and Miami.
Haka was senior vice president and COO of CMA CGM (America) in Norfolk, Va., overseeing its North American marine, terminal and inland operations. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of corporate operations for P&O Nedlloyd, where he was responsible for terminal operations, intermodal and truck operations.
