Hanjin consolidates service centers

Hanjin Shipping America said it plans to relocate its Atlanta service center functions to its Phoenix service center and relocate claims functions from Atlanta to Phoenix. The changes are expected to be completed by July 1.
Hanjin said centralization of the functions will allow it to leverage “technology, training, management and other assets to create an improved service for customers at a lower cost to Hanjin.”
“Hanjin Shipping continuously studies ways to improve company performance and enhance customer satisfaction. These changes are being made with that extremely important goal in mind,”  Y.H. Jung, managing director, stated. “As we do today, Hanjin will continue to provide service with a local feel by dedicating people and resources to each specific market.”
